I never force myself to write. It sometimes takes me months to write even a single word; at other times, I just do not stop writing for hours at a stretch. A story comes out best when it flows effortlessly from your pen.

Never keep an idea inside your head. Pen it down as soon as it strikes you. Every story deserves to be out there, however long it takes you to write it.

I am currently in the process of writing a fiction set a few hundred years after the war of Mahabharata, the greatest Indian epic ever written. My heroine Vaidarbhi will be out and ready to fly by next year hopefully!

Inspiration strikes me without a warning. Sometimes by just watching a set of puppies playing with their mother, and at other times, while just staring blankly at a wall. It strikes me at odd hours most of the time, making me get up from bed and give words to my thoughts.
PRAPTI SHARMA
I am currently in the process of completing a fiction set a few hundred years after the war of Mahabharata, the greatest Indian epic ever written. The story of Vaidarbhi, my heroine, was not something that popped into my head suddenly one day; rather it had been building in my head for years without me even realizing. I was always into historical and mythological fiction, and would fantasize about living in the world of Kings and Queens. I would watch historical shows and imagine one such character of my own with different a story line, and that is how Vaidarbhi was born.
