Steven De Luca Hi Craig, firstly, thank you for the interest in Bound in Black. I agree, Adam was awesome. I was extremely pleased with his narration of Bound in Scales and how he brought my characters to life. I reached out to Adam, prior to Bound in Black's release, but was unsuccessful. (Adam, if you are reading this, drop me an email, let me know you are safe and well)
I am in the process of producing the Audio version of Bound in Black at present, with a new narrator, and I am in the first review stage at present. I'll post any updates, when there's more to share. Watch this space.
Steven De Luca The world of Pern. I grew up reading Anne McCaffery's wonder filled dragon novels. The world building is fantastic and I can see Pern as a real place. I would explore from the High Reaches to the Southern continent, bathe in the hot pools of Benden Weyr, sail the seas of Nerat bay to Half Circle, walk barefoot on the hatching ground of Fort hold and feast in the Harper's hall. Might even impress a fire lizard while I'm there!
Steven De Luca The idea for Bound in Scales came from my first novel, which I haven't published... yet. The Atlas of Dragons featured in that story and I liked the idea a lot. It was something that I thought about and it developed from there.
Steven De Luca I've been an avid reader from an early age and have often though about writing. A few years ago, I mentioned this to a friend who writes. He said "You keep telling me this, why don't you just write it!" So I accepted his challenge,. But "Bound in Scales" isn't that novel . This is my second novel, but the first I've published.
Steven De Luca I have another novel planned, haven't started it yet. I've made lots of notes and I'm hoping to start the actual writing soon.
Steven De Luca Finish what you start. This was advice given to me when I started writing. Get the words down and you can always revise your draft later...many times!
