If I could tell an aspiring writer one thing, it would be to write what you enjoy. Sure, the ratings matter, but most of those things can be cleared up with editing. You have to enjoy what you are writing or your heart will not be in it, and that shows more than any typo.

I have always had a love for writing. In college I minored in Intensive Writing English, and the seed was planted in the back on my mind. Stephen King's 'On Writing' had been sitting on my nightstand for close to seven years before I picked it up. After that it was just a matter of believing I could write a book, sitting down to prove it to myself, then sending it out into the world!

I wanted to come up with something unique, something people had not seen 100 times before. I chose my antagonist from my heritage and spun the folklore in the way I thought would be appealing to me. I hope that in doing this, others will find it just as enjoyable!
