In a word(name), God. Jesus Christ, my Lord and Saviour, the God of the Universe, gives me the ideas for every book. He does this is all sorts of ways, it can be something on the radio news, a newspaper headline, a conversation with a friend or stranger, I never know until it happens. In the case of Hidden Treasures, it was a word game from my youth. I used to play this word game about finding words within a paragraph of words and when I was reading one day, in the Bible, I came across a hidden word and there ya have it. That hidden word inspired me to write Hidden Treasures, but the word was given by God.

Again, my answer is prayer. Talking with God and spending time in His Word is my biggest inspiration. I couldn't write a thing if not for God. He's my everything. My inspiration, my creativity, my ideas, my characters, they're all from Him. Without Him, there'd be no books written by me. I'm merely the pen in His hand.

I'm currently working on many projects including: 11 novels for my Faith in the Valley series, a few for my next series Hope in the Valley, and a few for others. Book two in the Faith in the Valley series, Seeking Refuge, should be available by the end of the year and no later than the end of January. So please, keep your eyes peeled for that!

My advise to any writer is this: Don't give up. Keep on writing and keep on praying. Write what God lays upon your heart and you can't go wrong; for if it touches but one person's heart, it was worth it all. Amen!

Hmmm... I'd have to say the best part of being a writer is the journey God sends me on for each unique story. There's nothing more thrilling and satisfying than writing the words God has whispered in my ear and taking the unexpected adventure with the character He's placed in my heart.
But I believe it's a tie between that and also learning how those stories go on to touch others as they've touched me. It's really, really, an amazing feeling.

I deal with writer 's block with prayer and also by working on different projects at a time. If I hit a road block, I go to the next project and repeat as necessary. It really works!
