Dusty Sharp Hey Todd thanks for checking! Ironically the Covid issue has actually hindered my writing progress. I've gotten busier with my freelance clients (in my "other" career), probably in part because their regular staffs are in lockdown. And my wife, who is a school teacher, is home now too, creating a lot more distractions (some welcome, some not so much LOL) in what would normally be my writing time. That said, I am trying to get some forward progress in Austin Conrad #4 each day, and I hope I'll be able to pick up my pace. But with the uncertainty I really can't guess at a release date.
Dusty Sharp Hi Allen, thanks for reaching out! I looked and you are not subscribed. If you are having trouble with it I can manually add you to the list. Let me know. I'm glad you enjoyed No Time To Bleed. You'll get Blood Brothers for free when you join my list, if you don't already have it.
Dusty Sharp Thanks Gill! I'm glad you enjoyed the book. Yes I intend Austin to be a series character with a nice long career :) I'm currently working on the next book which will be a full length novel. I may also release another short story or novella, at the same time, which will dig a little deeper into the back story that triggered the events in No Time To Bleed.

I've heard the same from a few readers, who didn't think they were going to like it but did. I'm curious, what made you think that? And why did you take a chance on reading it anyhow? Your answer may help me improve my marketing. Thanks again!
Dusty Sharp Ophelia opened her eyes and peered down the well, at her reflection shimmering in the moonlight fifty feet down. She began to scream when she realized she was looking up, at her sister’s maniacal stare from the top of the well.
Dusty Sharp For me, the best thing about being a writer is being told by someone who read your book, that they enjoyed it.
Dusty Sharp With No Time To Bleed, I started with a character, and built the story around him. In my other series (of which Austin is a supporting character), I had an idea that I've been kicking around for years, based on places and themes from my own experiences.
Dusty Sharp Next up is the first full length novel in the Austin Conrad series. Beyond that, I'm still working on that other series I mentioned, which is in a slightly different genre.
Dusty Sharp Just start writing! Nothing happens until you have a story. All of the details of packaging, merchandising and marketing can be figured out later. It all starts with a story.
Dusty Sharp No Time To Bleed had a somewhat convoluted genesis. I'm writing a completely separate series of books, and Austin Conrad is a supporting character in those. I started writing No Time To Bleed as just a character study to help flesh him out for the other books. But I liked it enough to run it up the flagpole and see who salutes. And I thought the character had enough of a story to base further books on, so he will be getting his own series.
