Warren Moore There are enough nuclear weapons on this planet to decimate human civilization in a single day's worth of destructive volleys. We usually assume that a human will ultimately be responsible for such a catastrophe, but keep in mind that those nuclear warheads are attached to electro-mechanical systems which can fail in ways that the designers never accounted for.
Warren Moore The best way I've found to deal with writer's block is to just go and do something else for a while. Preferably something completely unrelated to your writing. Clear your mind to the point that you're not thinking about your writing at all, then when you've got your focus back, do what you do to get your best writing ideas and let the ideas flow naturally once more. Remember, writer's block is a form of burnout, and the best solution to any form of burnout is distance plus time. So the sooner you do that, the better.
Warren Moore Having an outlet for creativity is one of the big benefits. I've always had a very active imagination, and being able to put those fantastic visions into words for others to enjoy is quite a delight.
Warren Moore Don't give up. It doesn't matter if you're no good right now, because you can't not get better at something you do constantly. Just keep writing.
Warren Moore I'm working on the third novel in the Edena Chronicles series at the moment. Mostly that involves planning at this stage.
Warren Moore The best way for me to get inspired is to go back and read what I've recently written, followed by a walk at the nearby nature park. The ideas flow much more easily when you're not sitting at the keyboard.
Warren Moore The basic idea for the Edena Chronicles series came to me some time in 2010, when waiting for a bus. I originally tried to work on what would become the fourth novel in the series, before finally accepting that the story that preceded it really needed to be told before I could get to that one.
