There is some writers block that just makes you want to drink bleach until the pain goes away. Of course that is neither a productive nor FDA approved solution. During a persistent block I go back to things that are familiar and comfortable, like watching old episodes of the Twilight Zone. To me, it has an effect not unlike taking a computer back to a safe restore point.
