Patrick Ware I get inspired by life. Each day I find something new that inspires me. Simply living is inspiration.
Patrick Ware The Flowers from my book "At Night, The Flowers Bloom" because that place is the fictionalized version of the neighborhood I grew up in. The first thing I would do there is visit the main character, Damien, to assure him of the great world that exists outside his current reality.
Patrick Ware Sharing yourself with the audience. I love hearing how people resonate with things I have gone through. Whether those things be masked behind a character, or broadcasted as my own trials and tribulations, I love when people can relate to things I have gone through. It terrified me when I wrote my first book, but now I love it.
Patrick Ware I am currently awaiting illustrations for a children's book that will release sometime this year, and another novel that will probably release at the end of the year.
Patrick Ware Consistently write. Whether that be a page per day, or whatever you can do, just be consistent. Complete your project first before you worry about any success that can come from it. Achieve your goal of finishing the project and the rest will follow. And the best way to do that is consistency.
Patrick Ware The best way to tackle writer's block is to pick an object/topic and write about it. I don't care if you choose to write about a paperclip, just write something about it. I have found that making yourself write about something specific can spark your creativity, thus making it easy to go back to writing about the topic you are passionate about.
