At the moment, I am working on Peccatum in Praeteritum: Sins of the Past, the second book in the trilogy The Three Sins of Mallory Moore.

The easy answer would be chainsmoking -- yes, I'm aware that it's bad for your health, and I don't recommend it -- and a pot of coffee.
But, writer's blocks happen for a variety of reasons. Sometimes, the only thing I can do is take a "walk with the character" giving me trouble -- a hike through nature as I have a mental conversation with "them."
If it's plot giving me an issue, I try to take a break from writing that particular story, for a few days. Other creative writing such as poetry fills the time, and I come back to the page fresh and ready.

Please, don't ever think that you're not "good enough." Writing, like any hobby or profession, takes time, practice, and dedication. Honing your craft over years, or even decades, is nothing to be ashamed of.

Honestly, this story began as fan (fiction) inspired. As time went on, and the plot flushed out, characters deviated from the "original script." I couldn't deny them.
Once I allowed these characters to develop organically, it was like they had a mind of their own. I had to reign them in a bit, on a character list, but from then on, this story was a joy to write.
