Ruby Fitzgerald Poetry! I've been on a poetry kick for months. Just finished re-reading the second whiskey words & a shovel book. Very inspiring!
Ruby Fitzgerald There was blood everywhere. And it was not her own.
Ruby Fitzgerald I derive my inspiration from any and all books I have read, as well as every single thing I experience around me. I try to always be as present as I can in every moment, and sort of file away the experiences of both myself and those around me. I've been an extremely avid reader my whole life and truly love that I'm now contributing to that world. By combining these two 'experiences' I am inspired and visualizing all the time. What inspires me the most is that young readers like I once was, will potentially get the same feeling from my work that inspired me!
Ruby Fitzgerald The best advice I can give to any aspiring writer is to never give up, be patient, and believe in yourself. Even on off days, or days you do not want to write, just write something. Anything. Even if it's terrible. Even if you immediately throw it away. Something is always better than nothing. Keep the energy moving forward, even when it seems to be standing still. If you truly believe, you will be able to seize the moment when it presents itself. This is a very challenging and sometimes devastating career.
Ruby Fitzgerald Being able to escape and having the freedom to express my own creativity. Creating worlds and characters as I believe they should be. Knowing that there are no limitations, no rules, none of the issues we currently see today. I get to watch it come to life through the readers, the ones who tell me how it truly should be!
Ruby Fitzgerald Poetry.

Switching mediums always seems to help with writer's block.
Ruby Fitzgerald BOOK TWO of the Harmonies of War series!!!
Ruby Fitzgerald I've been working on Harmonies of War for years, but the first scene was stuck in my head as something I simply HAD to write. The rest of the book stemmed from that one one crystal-clear scene.
