My fathers garden had a heavy influence on the types of worlds that I created and I've always had a fascination with the early 19th century/world war 1 & 2; the sequel to Egbert's World will delve into that era a lot more.

It's an opportunity to switch off and create anything you want. I personally use my writing to combat my anxiety and depression; it's good for healing and calming my mind. Not sure where I would be without writing.

Luckily I don't get writer's block often; when I do, I go places and look for any kind of inspiration. I find adventures are the best source for material, such as walks in a secluded woodland or beach; with my dog Sam. Egbert's World certainly blossomed from our many strolls.
