I am currently back to my non-fiction writing with my good friend and co-author Dr. Len Zaichkowsky. We are working on a follow-up to The Playmaker's Advantage, our 2018 guide for parents and coaches on the cognitive side of their young athletes.
This new book, due out in summer 2020, will focus entirely on in-game decision making of players, coaches and officials.
We're looking forward to finishing it so all of our loyal readers can get ready for their post-virus, Fall sports season!

With three sons, my wife and I sat on the sidelines of hundreds of soccer, hockey, basketball and baseball games. At one time, I was one of those competitive, over-anxious sports dads that wanted everything for my boys. Dreams of college scholarships and on-field glory warped my common sense. But not my wife - she was the sensible, loving mother that they needed.
The Playmaker Project is based on that whole youth sports scene and how "winning at all costs" can become too expensive.
And, since I love neuroscience, I had to throw in some incredible, "it's already here" brain tech to sweeten the plot!
