What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
R.S.E. Gommer My tip for an aspiring writer would be to write what you love. You will spend a lot of time in the world you create, so the only way to keep it fun for yourself is to write something fun. Also, there will always be people who like the same things as you.

Did you write The Sugar Prayer at the beginning of Black Sugar City as well, or was this something you found and based your series on later?
R.S.E. Gommer Thanks for your questions! Yes, I wrote the Sugar Prayer as well. I was thinking about what elements a religion is made of and I felt like prayers were a big part of that. Also prayers whispered in the dark can sound a bit menacing and creepy ;)
