Laura Ellis The truth of God's Word and how it applies to our day-to-day lives is my greatest source of inspiration.

Also, my kids say such funny (and often insightful things) that I feel compelled to write down and sometimes expand upon.
Laura Ellis I pray. And if it doesn't come to me, I trust it is not something God wanted me to write, so I just move on to something else.
Laura Ellis Writing.
Seriously, I love to write. It is therapeutic for me, and is also a nice, quiet break from the otherwise noisy life I lead as the mother of seven children. I also love how writing helps me sort through my thoughts.
Laura Ellis Write from what you know . . . from what you are passionate about.
Laura Ellis I am working on my website (www.packinglightforthejourneyofmother...) where I plan to not only promote my new book, but also write weekly encouragements for moms.

I have also set up a Facebook page (The Journey of Motherhood) where I hope to create a community of moms who share stories, life hacks, recipes, etc. to encourage one another on this journey of motherhood.
Laura Ellis The idea for my book "Packing Light" was born out of the intense struggle with legalism I had as a young mom. My heart is to encourage moms to let God gently lead them on their parenting journey (Isaiah 40:11), and not be tossed to and fro by the various opinions of others. I am so blessed that through my mess He has given me a message for others.
