Take a break. Do something else you enjoy. Write on a completely unrelated topic(don't stop writing!). Come back to the original work after a few days or weeks (or even months) and the block will be gone. If it hasnt, and the idea doesnt look good any more, discard it for now (or forever).

Write something every day. Read something every day in the same genre by established writers. Don't be afraid to rewrite what you spent months writing. As you read more and you write more, you improve.

I had written an article about 18 months ago on the Australian website 'The Roar' which one of the most respected cricket writer of our time, Kersi Meher-Homji suggested might be the basis for a book. And that is where it all started! Eighteen months later I am excitedly awaiting the worldwide launch of this book which is in its final form a 340 page account of the best bowling spells in the history of Cricket.
