Take a break. Do something else you enjoy. Write on a completely unrelated topic(don't stop writing!). Come back to the original work after a few days or weeks (or even months) and the block will be gone. If it hasnt, and the idea doesnt look good any more, discard it for now (or forever).

I had written an article about 18 months ago on the Australian website 'The Roar' which one of the most respected cricket writer of our time, Kersi Meher-Homji suggested might be the basis for a book. And that is where it all started! Eighteen months later I am excitedly awaiting the worldwide launch of this book which is in its final form a 340 page account of the best bowling spells in the history of Cricket.
