Hi Joni. Although I’ve been an ACFW member for several years now I’ve unfortunately not been in a position to attend any of their conferences—I live in the UK. :-)

Thank you, Daisy. I’m not currently looking for another editor, however, I do still have place available on my ARC team should you wish to apply. You’re welcome to email me should this interest you :-)

Hello Pierre
I wish with all my heart I could translate this series in both French and German, but it is a costly exercise to bear as an independent author. I am holding all hope and faith that I will be able to do this in the near future though :-)
Thank you for the great question and my apologies if my answer disappoints you :-(

Hi Carol,
Thanks for asking. Your question doesn't make reference to the book in question, however, most of my books have around 270 print book pages. I have found, depending on the e-reader device used (also font, spacing etc.) the ebook count may vary.
Let me know if my answer helps, and thank you for considering my book for your bookclub! :-)

Some years ago I inherited my grandmother's emerald engagement ring. As far as I know it had ties to the second world war. I don't know the exact details, but it had great sentimental value. I wore it all the time. Then one day, it simply vanished, never to be seen again. I turned the house upside down, and to this day, I have no idea what happened to it.

Hard to choose only one world, but when it comes down to it, I’d love to live in Neverland. I mean, who wouldn’t? Full of adventure and danger my days would be filled with fighting pirates at Skull Rock or soaring high above the turquiose waters. Sometimes all you need is faith...and a little pixie dust ;-)

Hi Warren
Thanks for your question.
Each book follows its own story so you can start anywhere you like. Though they’re standalone books but in a series it’s always better to start at the beginning of course, but it’s entirely up to you.
The Papua Incident is a short prequel to the series (and you can download this for FREE here: http://download.urcelia.com)!
Then follows The Rhapta Key and then The Gilded Treason.
The next one is under production and due in the Spring.
Merry Christmas
😊

Hi William,
Thanks for asking. It is extremely tough getting our books in front of readers, I know. Pop me an email and I’ll be happy to share other avenues I’ve tried. (books@urcelia.com)
I happened to go through books to add to my 'to-read shelf' and came across your review on one of them. I like reading reviews first before deciding on a book. Thought, seeing as I wrote in the same genre as that book (and didn’t see any of my books on your shelf) I would be cheeky and introduce my books to you. :-)

Hi Greg,
You are 100% correct in that the violence and sexual provocation is ridiculous in some of these books. Technically, according to Amazon, YA’s age group is from 13-17 years of age. (See this link https://kdp.amazon.com/en_US/help/top...)
Now I have a stepdaughter, aged 18, a teenage son aged 13, another age 10 (and an even younger one age 5) and I can tell you that there is no way I would let my 13-year old read many of the YA books advertised on Amazon. Not because I’m a prude or over protected mother, but because I believe it’s morally wrong to expose children this young to books that condone violence and sex before marriage.
So, in my opinion, the grey area lies in what I construe to be explicit vs content that eludes to violence and sex etc. It’s a tough one. Because selling books is a business and to some, business no matter the cost.
I have my personal test that I conduct with my books before I publish them. Of course I get my husband’s opinion on whether the content is appropriate, but I also ask my own children. If they (or I !) get embarrassed when I read it to them, then I have my answer! :-)

Thanks so much for your answer. Yes, it's business no matter what the cost. And one 15 y/o may be far more mature than another 15 y/o. And, as a person who is decades and decades old, I don't allow violent images via TV or movies into my home at all, I don't mind foul language if it is in character and not just for shock value (to wake one up from a nap) and nakedness is fine ,that's perfectly natural, as long as that's all it is (nothing too sexual). As far as "Gentlemen's Guide" the sex really didn't bother me, but oh, the violence in Hunger Games was way too horrendous. Reminded me of an old joke in the New Yorker: a movie marque that reads:' XXX-No One Admitted'

Hi Sarah. 😊
Thanks for your question.
Writers block is just one of the little challenges all authors face from time to time and can really drive one round the bend.
I usually stop and switch off all electronics, forums etc and just return to normal life. I escape with a good book or movie which 9/10 times kickstart the creative juices again. I don’t stress about it too much as this is counterproductive. I find the harder I try the more clogged my brain gets.
Often, when I least expect it, my creative brain unleashes and the story moves forward.
Hope my answer satisfies. 😊

My sleep gets interrupted by my dog barking and scratching incessantly at my bedroom door and I hurl my pillow at his head.
I feel the familiar wet nose of my trusting furry friend beside me in my bed
and in that moment come to realise that he had been next to me all along.

Great question, thanks Deborah!
Constantine is an extremely loyal and submissive person. Though in her thirties she complies with and respects her parents highly. However, this is also her vice as she denies herself happiness and puts others' happiness ahead of her own.
She has an insatiable thirst for adventure and living dangerously .... living on the edge so to speak, which causes her to challenge her own desires leading to temptations and secrets that tear her life apart.

Would you believe me when I tell you I literally woke up at 3am in the morning and start bashing out the storyline??
I believe it was buried in my subconscious somewhere and bursting to come out !

I love being around people and I love getting to know people. There is always something that opens my heart and mind up to an idea and then I get lost in the imaginary and conjur up my own worlds.
