The best thing about being a writer is being part of this amazingly supportive community. Authors are a special breed and the amount of reliance we have upon each other is incredible. My fellow romance authors are not my competition; they are my tribe!

The answer is: I don't. Not always. Writing is my job, so I can't wait for inspiration to hit. Sometimes I will be in my car or in the shower and an idea will hit me. I have to hurry to write it down before I lose the thought in the jumble that is my brain. Most days, however, I don't necessarily feel inspired before I sit down to write. Writing brings on the muse.
