Inspiration is a precious gift to a writer. For me inspiration comes in the form of life experience. Sometimes I find it in the silence after a long busy week. Inspiration was fleeting for me until recently. I've written two more novels in the last year. I'm working on the edits and hope to present them to agents over the winter.

I must apologize for my silence in the past year. I've had many personal obstacles that kept me from writing, and my social media accounts. I didn't have time over the summer to read. I have my eye on the comfy chair in my office where I plan to read at least three books over the winter. "Then She Was Gone", by Lisa Jewell will be one of the three. "Drifts" by Kate Zambreno is the second book on my list. And Jay Shetty's "Think Like a Monk" will be the third.

My most recent work was inspired by "Ways of War" my first novel. I wrote "Ways of War" not knowing it would become part of a series. But as the novel came to an end, I realized the story was not over. "Usher of Truth" will continue the tale that began during the cold war and will usher in "Days of Doom," a story about the struggles of today's generation in a world that is as barbaric today as centuries past.

The best thing about being a writer is that writing is the perfect form of expression for my creativity. I can express myself in any manner I choose based on my mood. I can write poetry, short stories or focus on any number of novels I am working on. Writing gives me the freedom to be myself or anyone else I choose.
