Hi Wendy, yes I do have more books with virgin heroes. The entire Dark Anomaly trilogy has them, not just Gravity, but Power and Explosion, too. Demon Mine, the first book in my Paranormal Romance series, also features a virgin hero. Happy reading. <3

Thank you, Ann. I love the illustrations also, and I am planning to continue having them done for as many of my books as I can. But only as illustrations from now on. :)
I've been told over and over again, by readers as well as many people in the industry, that as an indie author the point is not to stand out but to blend in with the genre you write in. Unfortunately, people find my painted covers misleading: Demon Mine is routinely mistaken for a Beauty and The Beast story and To Love A Monster for an alien romance or even a children story! :)
Nowadays, a reader spends less than a second looking at the cover before making the decision to click to learn more or to pass. So the cover has to tell an accurate story of what to expect from the book at one glance.
That is the reason I am gradually moving away from the painted covers to the photo-manipulated ones, as my Contemporary-Paranormal genre demands.
That said, I am thrilled to be working with Naomi Lucas and Cameron Kamenicky, the exceptionally talented graphic designers, who have been creating the new covers for me. They understand my vision and always come up with something even more beautiful that what I have in my head.
My new covers are turning out to be the best of both worlds, in my opinion: they are genre-appropriate, but still stand out as unique and exceptionally well-done.
I hope you'll like the rest of them when you see them, too. :)

What you don't know is that I used to own the largest science fiction media publication company on the globe in the 80s-90s. I did all the cover work selection. I will tell you that the photo-manipulation being done is already reeking of the same photo being used by different authors and books. (Right now, I'm looking at one photo that has been used 5 times in the last 12 months!) I guess you suffered from lack of selection or lack of time for a more appropriate cover which is a shame. You are leaving behind a superb artist because of it. If I'm seeing this dreadful repetition, I'm sure others are, too. And I've stopped buying books with repeat covers because it reminds me of the poor storyline of the first book using that cover art. And no, changing color, changing orientation, and cropping doesn't make it original. I would only hope you get a guarantee from your photo artist that it won't be reused because there can be a negative backlash.
I do understand the supply and demand side of indie writing AND publishing. Please don't find yourself trapped because others are doing something that maybe you should not do yourself. Just be true to your ethics. That is really how I judge a writer... second to the quality of the work. ...more

Thank you for loving my paintings, Ann. Since I painted the original cover art myself, they will always have a special place in my heart, too. <3

I was wondering why you never came out and said who was the artist. You are REALLY good! In fact, that's what attracted me to the first book I bought from you! Something was very refreshing, and I adored the pastel-like watercolor palette! It really tugged at my creative eye. I'm glad I have your novel copies with your original artwork on my computer/Kindle for Mac! Damnation... if you were around back when, I'd have you on board my publishing company immediately! (I temporarily shut it down when my husband died in 2009.) Bill would have loved your work! (heavy sigh)
Well, that answers my original question. ...more

Hi Susie! I'm so glad you loved my demons! We all know how much they need love. :) The short answer to your question is YES, there will be another one, possibly two more books set in the world of Demon Mine. I intended the first book as stand alone, but got many requests for a sequel since the publication date. These demons get to you, it seems. :) I was worried that I wouldn't be able to write another book without repeating too much from the first one, but I did come up with a unique, exiting story line now and added the second book to my writing schedule! The second book in Demons series is to be released mid 2018!

The Staff and The Blade by Elizabeth Hunter. I got it months ago but still haven't read it. It took me less than a week to read the first three books in the series, but I have been really procrastinating on this one. I rarely read long series and prefer standalone novels, for the same reasons that I prefer watching movies to TV-series: I need to know the story from the beginning to the end! However, I love The Irin Chronicles series so far and I'm not ready to say goodbye to the characters yet.

The best thing about being a writer for me is that I get to write stories I always wanted to read but couldn't find anywhere!
