Mike Lee Hi! First, many apologies for taking this long to reply to your question! This appears to be an inconsistency (possibly intentionally, to show that these legends are just that - dimly remembered tales of a long-forgotten age). There was certainly no hidden outcome that I'm aware of.

Mr. Lee, First, I'd like to start off by saying that I absolutely love Warhammer, and have just finished Daemon's Curse, and I am really looking forward to reading the rest. Secondly, remember reading various short stories written for WAR:Online. According to the wiki, you wrote "Cruel as Ice, Cold as Steel". I can't seem to find it anywhere, and would love to read it again. Any way I could get a .pdf or something?
Mike Lee Hi, Calib: Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed The Daemon's Curse. Unfortunately, I no longer have a copy of "Cruel as Ice" - it was lost in a hard drive crash several years ago.
