Iesha S. Walker The Shack is definitely on my summer reading list this year?
Iesha S. Walker Seasons, derived from a post I wrote on a relationship page I once managed (I have since deleted the page). The readers were engaged and asked for more. Their interest gave me the courage to dive deeper and turn that simple post into a 33k+ word book.
Iesha S. Walker Inspiration comes from my life experiences, conversations with loved ones, things I've seen in public, and even my own posts on social media.
Iesha S. Walker I am currently working on my next book. Dialogue is screaming in my head right now and I have to get it out. Murder, eroticism, and more powerful women.

I also am working on a cookbook. I've been blessed to be skilled in the kitchen, as well. After many prompts from those who've enjoyed my food, I have decided to create a cookbook to honor my food and my family.
Iesha S. Walker Keep writing! You may not sell a million copies, but don't stop writing. Your time will come! I am still an aspiring writer myself and I know that my books may never be best-sellers, but they'll always be great books!
Iesha S. Walker I'm a newly published author, so my feelings may change in years to come. Right now, the best thing about being a writer is seeing my readers so invested in my characters and in my book. I offered a preview of a chapter in my book before it was complete and the readers were so engaged that they pushed me to complete the book. They were just as excited as I was when the book finally published. That's an amazing feeling!
Iesha S. Walker I've learned to allow my book to write itself organically. When I experience writer's block, I take it as a sign that I need to take a break. When the story is ready, it just comes to me in different scenes that I piece together like a puzzle. I could be driving in my car and a piece of new dialogue will come to mind. I grab my phone, turn on the recorder, and recite the dialogue. When I get home, I play the audio and type it up.

Try not to force yourself to write. If you've scheduled your writing and you're blocked, take a second to do something else like write a poem, write a blog post, reread the pages that are already written, develop your author's bio, or something that will allow you to relax a little. You don't want your writing experience to feel tense and like a job.
