Hi Kathleen. I wrote my first book in 2015, and am currently writing my second (different subject). I guess l just took the plunge. Once l wrote the first thousand words l knew l was on track. My advice is to keep focused and take the time you need keeping proactive. Trust in yourself. Good luck!

Maintain your vision and stick to your project. Give yourself a timeframe. Realistically, you may go over it, but it's important to have an 'end date' to keep you moving forward keeping you on track. Believe in yourself - you are your best motivator!

The best way to deal with writer's block is to take a break from your work. Once you step away and occupy yourself with something else, you can come back in a clearer headspace and the words/sentences/paragraphs that you were so desperately seeking come to you more readily. Sometimes in flow and sometimes more gradually.
