I've recently purchased a book titled Plot, by Jean Hanff Korelitz. I can't wait to get started on it!

Always write. Even if you don't finish them. I have so many stories I've started, and although I put them aside. I've returned and finish them, even after years later. And they've become great books. Some, no matter how small, have even become a series.

Reading. Some of my stories have been inspired by authors or books I've read. Anne Rice was one of my greatest inspiration. For my book DevilGod Existence. Chuck Palahniuk, inspired a book I'm working on titled Sarvakk, Stephen King, inspired my desire for description.

I'm sure if this what you meant. There have been a few things or incidents in my life that are reflected in my stories. Most of the characters in my stories are reflections of people that have come across my life. Even the places are real buildings or locations I've visited. Like Milton, or the town Venado from one of my stories are all real places.

I usually just write whatever comes to mind. The best way to fight writer's block is getting a fellow writer to help with brainstorming ideas. I also recommend reading, a lot of reading, nothing helps with ideas like a good a book.

The Claudia Belle Series was started while I was in middle school back in 89. It actually started as a short story. And over time it became something far bigger, the short continue it seemed week after week. until I realized I had a growing book. From there it took off.
Just recently am I ready to publish 4 of the completed books, due on April 6. I currently have at total of 8 books, and possibly going to 9.
