Old Luella has made three predictions for Ellen's life. Each of the three predictions springs from an event in my life. The prediction, Ellen foils a dictator, involves Ellen going to Cuba to bring back her damaged Aunt Zia during the Bay of Pigs. My aunt Zena married a Cuban sugar cane plantation owner and lived in Cuba prior to Castro coming to power.
Ellen finds the soldier...Ellen is searching for information on Jonas Stockman, a revolutionary war soldier, buried on plantation land where she lives. No one knows who Jonas was and why he was buried on Callander plantation land. My grandfather owned a plantation, much like the one described in Ellen and the Three Predictions. A revolutionary war soldier was buried on my grandfather's plantation land. I loved to visit the grave, wondering who he was.
