Rhetta Akamatsu Holly's heart beat fast as she broke away from the most passionate kiss of her life. Looking into her lover's eyes, she began to scream even before her skin began to crack and burn.
Rhetta Akamatsu My favorite author, Jana Oliver, has written an adult mystery,"Dead Easy." I am anxious to read that. I am also looking forward to the third book in the Wolf Springs Chronicles, "Savage," and the second book in The Vinyl Detective series.
Rhetta Akamatsu Scarlett O'Hara and Rhett Butler. Scarlett was the first fictional woman I ever encountered (at 14) who was defiant and who was willing to do what she thought needed to be done, and Rhett was wildly romantic and unconventional, yet willing to do what he saw as right when necessary. I admire that.
Rhetta Akamatsu Since I just published Southern Crossroads: Georgia Blues last week, I haven't completely decided, but some people seem to think I should collect all of my music reviews and article that have been published this year into an annual. Do you think that sounds like a good idea?
Rhetta Akamatsu Just write. Don't worry about whether it's good enough or you're a good enough writer, just do it. You can always decide later if your idea works or not and if it does, you can rewrite until it's right and get a proofreader to help you with typos and other errors.
Rhetta Akamatsu I don't get writer's block. If I don't feel like working on one project, I just work on another one until I feel inspired enough to work on the first one again.
Rhetta Akamatsu I gett interested in a subject, look for books about it, and if I can't find many, I write one.
Rhetta Akamatsu I love blues music and I realized that there are few, if any, books that deal directly with Georgia blues, although Georgia had some of the most inffluential early blues artists, like Blind Willie McTell and Curley Weaver, may living legendss like Eddie Tigner and Beverly "Gutiar Watkins," and lots of talented blues artists keeping the tradition alive now. I thought there should be a book about that, so I wrote one.
