Dean Raasch The book I am releasing in May was inspired by the tragic events of a friend. He lost his young daughter unexpectedly. I wrote that book to help bring comfort to parents facing a similar tragedy.
Dean Raasch My writing is all based on life events and making them positive with learning lessons. I am currently writing my life story about surviving leukemia and sexual abuse. Should be released later this year.
Dean Raasch I still consider myself an aspiring writer so I would suggest just writing. It is what I have been doing a lot more of lately. The more you write, the more ideas that come to you and the more stories you are able to create. On certain days you may write about a topic that doesn't even make sense to you at the time. Pay attention to that because you are telling that story for a reason. It may not be understood at the time, but now that you wrote it you can always refer back to it for inspiration.
Dean Raasch This story connects me to the loss of my mom. She passed away from cancer at age 29. I was only 10. This story has been in my heart for decades and one day I just started writing it. I didn't think about it, I just wrote it from my heart. I don't know if that means I was inspired to write it or not, but I did write it.
Dean Raasch I am working on 2 projects right now. One is another children's book to inspire elementary school children to live healthy lives. The second is my life story about the challenges I faced and conquered.
