I've been writing stories ever since I could remember! Certainly from at least primary school age - maybe six or seven years old? I always loved creative writing classes and used to write (and doodle) stories about foxes that went on for generations and generations!

Thank you for your question and I'm pleased to hear you've enjoyed Moroda! I love the water and always make a point to go to the seaside whenever I can. I'm not a strong swimmer though, and almost drowned when I was very young, so it's a love-hate thing, sometimes!

Currently reading East of Eden for my book club! I also want to read Sanderson's Mistborn Trilogy next! :)

A tough question! I love them all for so many different reasons - protagonists, antagonists, and side characters!
I have a soft spot for Amarah, she's probably the "oldest" character in terms of she's stayed true to herself since the book's conception, she's very strong in herself and what she believes in, very well fleshed out (I'd like to think!) plus she can fly an airship. So she's pretty awesome in that regard, too. She's fierce without being nasty, and confident without being arrogant - though she sometimes crosses that line - and a lot of people like her voice.

The original idea for Moroda came to me when I was about 16. I hand wrote a good chunk of the story on separate sheets of plain paper (I wish I could find them! I've moved house so many times since, I fear they're forever lost), and promptly forgot about the idea.
I've taken part in NaNo (National Novel Writing Month) for a few years now, and in 2014, stuck for an idea, I thought to the story and began writing. 50,000 words of the first draft were written in November 2014, and I continued writing until I finished the story in April 2015, at about 75,000 words. Since then I've been revising and editing until publication!

All sorts of ways! A piece of music, some dialogue overheard while at work on in the supermarket. A beautiful landscape. Dreams. Inspiration can be found everywhere and anywhere, you just need to open your eyes and ears!

Currently finalising the manuscript for Moroda before release on 1 April, and then I shall begin editing book two: Palom!
