There are mysteries behind every door that we walk through on each and every day that our existence continues, our plot lies in whether or not we choose to see them, and more importantly to act on them. The simple disappearance of the cashier from Walmart. A single mother of two small boys, she worked long hours to provide a safe and stable environment. He shopped regularly, always selecting her checkout, because she maintained efficient lines, he never waited long. He enjoyed her smile, the way she wore her hair, her pleasant mannerisms. She was plain, some might never look at her twice but he thought of her after he left the store. He went back for her, each time, until that one time, when he found the courage to take her with him.

The best part of being a writer for me is utilizing an avenue of creative escape. Developing the characters, plot and scenes allows me an outlet for my sometimes active imagination! I can utilize pen and paper, or laptop and keyboard to bring it all to life. All of the dialogue that happens within my head, can eventually be heard by someone else by reading my work. There is great satisfaction in this. In knowing that once in a while I am able to reach people.

I've been wanted to re-read The Handmaid's Tale, and then the Testaments. But I haven't gotten there yet. I'm currently reading The President is Missing, by James Patterson and Bill Clinton, the next on my shelf; I know Who you Are, by Alice Feeney.

Write! Do whatever you have to do to get your ideas onto paper. Or onto the drive of your computer. Whatever the medium, use it to your advantage and write your manuscript or collection of poems, just start, the rest will come.

I am currently editing a Novel that I have called the Wanted. In this adult thriller we meet out protagonist Hank who is a womanizing narcissist with murderous thoughts. He spends the day plotting to kill his wife, not knowing that her intentions are much more elaborate than his own.

I don't get writer's block often, and if I do it lasts for only a few hours normally. I can usually equate it to other stressors in my life which occupy my thoughts. When it does occur, I typically meditate my way through it.
