It took me over two years to write my memoir, while I was convinced a month of concerted effort was all it would take! The best advice I can give is to just start writing, now and every opportunity you can. You can merge and perfect the content later, but get your ideas down in a tangible way as often as you can.

I've led a wonderfully charmed life, yet punctuated by a few daunting challenges I never thought I'd get through. My family and many friends encouraged - more like coerced (!) - me to write a memoir that would share not only the exhilaration of great summits, but also the raging rivers I've forded. I'm really not that special, just a stubborn dreamer who's found a way to successfully pursue his dreams. It's my sincere hope that readers will be able to launch and attain some of their own big aspirations, with humor and humility possibly accepting a failure or two along the way...
