Dear Jessica, it has been so crazy writing the book, that I haven't thought about speaking engagements :) ... I love to talk to people, and would cherish any opportunity to do so. Dear Amaya, I am so very sad to hear of your father. I hope and pray he is doing okay. It is so overwhelming, for all of you. I had five and a half years of chemo (every three weeks) - 79 rounds, and 830,000 mgs. And four surgeries. (It's come back three times.) But thank God I have been able to continue to walk, and live, through all of it. I hope you and your father find inspiration, and hope, in The Mission Walker. Please keep in touch! Edie xoxo

Thank you for this sweet note, and the prayers! I'm glad you liked the book cover, Paula - HarperCollins/Thomas Nelson did a really great job on the cover. I feel so blessed to work with such a great team. I always feel good - and no matter what's happening on the outside, I'm smiling on the inside ... with stage 4 cancer everyday is a bonus day; life is too short to have a bad day :) Blessings to you! Edie xo

Edie, just bought your book yesterday. I have read 26% of it already, and it has given me new strength and determination. I am 8 months into gallbladder cancer. I had 3 months of chemo, but the cancer moved so now I am on Xeloda. I have decided that my tender feet are nothing to complain of after reading about your battle. Thanks for the encouragement of your book.

I go for a walk. The longer the walk, the better I write.

I walk. As I walk, I write in my head. It never sounds as good when I try to put it on paper afterwards :)
