My favourite fictional couple would have to be Simon Snow and Bad Pitch from Carry On by Rainbow Rowell. I really liked the development of their relationship and the way they moved from mortal enemies to a loving couple.

My latest book 'Letters to Rachel' was inspired by my move to Barcelona in Spain from the UK. The change from one country to another over the course of a year gave me plenty of things to write about. The theme of writing the book as a book of letters, came from my Mum, who writes to me every week. Her letters were so full of joy I just had to write about them.

It's different between my books for adults and children. For inspiration for my adult novels I use real life (usually my family and friends) I take something real that has happened and either simply retell it or embellish it so the reader enjoys it more.
For my children's books I delve into the world of fantasy and get inspiration from classic fairytales. I love the simplicity of good vs evil.

I either decide it's time to have a break or I do something to inspire me. That way I have something new to write about!

I'm working on two books at the moment, a book for children and a book for adults. My new book for adults is called 'Forty things before you're forty' and is about a character who is about to turn 40 so creates a list of all the things she wants to achieve before her BIG 4 0 birthday. It's going to be a fun read with plenty of stories about love, life and the little things we want to achieve.
My new children's book is the third book in my Crystal Adventures series, entitled 'Zelda and the Crystal Comb'. It's going to continue to take the reader on an exciting adventure in the world of the Seven Fairytale Kingdoms. This time the book will feature characters from the traditional tales of Rapunzel, Goldilocks and the Three Bears and Tom Thumb.
