Michelle Connor There is just something about the history of old castles that draws me to it. I wonder about the tales etched into the sandstone. We get to stand in a place where battles were fought, men dying to protect those who resided within the castle walls. If you listen close enough, you can hear the whoosh of arrows and the clattering of a ram being banged into the gates.

With my husband as my chaperone, I love to travel around the U.K and visit historical buildings. To make the visits more interesting, we search for old graffiti which has been carved into the walls. It is in human nature to say I was here, I lived. So if you get the chance to walk down the hallways or climb stairs that have been standing tall through countless years, keep an eye open for signs of the residents that walked there before you.
