Shaene Ragan No, I tried that once and got a vegetarian undead witch; a funny line for La Lune from my Moon Child series, but not scary. This is probably because the scariest movie I watch is actually a "Carry On" film. I just cannot write horror.
Shaene Ragan I've never given this much thought, but if I could go into any fictional book world (aside from my own) it would probably be the Middle-Earth of Tolkien's Lord of the Rings to give as much help as possible to Frodo Baggins and Sam-wise Gamgee. I've had a soft spot for Frodo since I discovered Lord of the Rings in 1989 and through reading practically everything published that Tolkien ever wrote of his fictional world I know the one weakness of the Ring as well as several weaknesses of Sauron.
Shaene Ragan My reading list is fairly eclectic, from re-reading the Fantastic Beasts official screenplay (for the fifth time) and reading the newly updated Newt Scamander text book, to J.R.R. Tolkien's translation of Beowulf, to Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre, and finally to the making of book about Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them I purchased.
Shaene Ragan Generally I either write something different from what is blocked, or if it is severe I will listen to music while engaged in a craft such as embroidery or crochet.
Shaene Ragan Creating worlds and characters to share with other people.
Shaene Ragan Read as much as you can across as many genres as you can to expand your imagination and vocabulary, write every single day, and most important of all never give up.
Shaene Ragan I am currently editing the rough copy of the sequel to Separated Soul and preparing the character sketches for a completely new series.
Shaene Ragan I have always written, I can't stop as such I don't really require any outside inspiration except for what plot or characters I use. Anything from a book on anthropology to a line in a song can spark an idea for me.
Shaene Ragan I got the idea while reading the La Rousse Encyclopedia of World Mythology after I watched a program about the Wind Hill and Beaker People cultures in Pre-Celtic Britain.
