The second book in what looks like being a trilogy of The Book of Bera. It's called Obsidian and although Bera remains my protagonist, it is a different tone and standalone. Bera has found herself and sets off on a quest, broadly. I wrote it whilst waiting for the first book to be picked up, which is good because success makes writing harder than failure, which teaches.
Don't wait for the perfect time to write - do it anytime, anywhere because there will be a nugget in there that you can polish later. If you don't get something down, the gaps get wider and you end up not writing for fear of it.
