QUESTION #1:
Every writer will undoubtedly give you a different answer. My writing experience is very organic. Most of the time my ideas inopportunely appear in the twilight period right before falling asleep, taunting me until get out of bed and write them down. So I do.
I have a daily routine to write from x time to x time, varying the locations. When the weather cooperates, I will often sit outdoors on my patio or under a tree. If not, I write at the library or local coffee ships for a change of scenery. Music is another significant contributor to my personal writing process. I have differing playlists to mimic the tone of the scene I’m writing.
For a more technical look at writing a novel, I will break it down in three simple steps:
1. Planning. (Every writer needs an organized plan in note form.)
2. Writing. (This is where you transform your plan into magical prose and believable dialogue.)
3. Revising. (Step and repeat until your words sing!)
QUESTION #2:
And yes, it does get frustrating at times. The most challenging part of the process is revising, revising, and REVISING!
Thank you for your questions. Happy reading!

Kudos to finishing your latest novel! Sounds amazing. I'm working on my next project while promoting my debut. Busy, Busy. Back to work, I suppose. I wish you the best of luck.

Title: Hollow’s Rules
Genre: Young Adult Crossover/Magical Realism/Mystery
Garret Holloway is born with a special gift (or curse, depending on how you look at it).
This magical story weaves back and forth through time à la Christina Schwarz, Finding Ruth, but through a singular perspective, using his unusual talent along the way. Hollow reveals his weakness of OCD brought on his strict stepfather, the well-respected Mayor of Bonneau. Hence the title, Hollow’s rules.

Minecraft: The Nether. Joking aside, most of the time my ideas inopportunely appear in the twilight period right before falling asleep, taunting me until get out of bed and write them down. I do a lot of thinking while running as well. My body gets a workout and so does my plot.

Here's a little article I wrote dealing with the dreaded question above. I have a list of many things I do to get past writer's block.

I’ve always been a creative writer. As a child, ideas kept me up at night, and so I wrote them down, creating short stories and poetry. I began writing my first full-length novel in 2012, but publishing wasn’t an immediate thought. Back then, oh so long ago, I didn’t feel it necessary to pressure myself, squelching my sacred creative juices. But my flawed rationale didn’t last long. I had a change of heart when I completed my last book, feeling satisfied with it, deeming it publishable.
