Black Bears of Independence was originally supposed to be about bear shifter doctors and that shifters were known. It has changed a lot since I got my first idea.

Ask authors that you are friendly with for tips. Keep trying. I got lucky because a dear friend helped me out and gave me her editor info. I started with 4 friends just editing for me.

I really don't know. One idea came in a dream. Th Black Bears of Independence came from a sign I saw and I contacted my friend Corbin to ask permission to use his name (last name is different). Corben Manor came from a senior living area called Corbin Manor.
