I loved your book from ant to eagle, especially the sad vibe and the way you get the story moving right away. I was just wondering if you do already or if you are in the process of writing more middle grade novels? If so when will they be released? By the way, congrats on the silver birch award. I hope that you win!
Alex Lyttle Thanks for the question Katie! I'm glad to hear you liked the book. I'm currently finishing a second draft of a middle grade novel that I hope to have published in the next year or so. It's very different from 'From Ant to Eagle' in that it is fantasy. I don't want to give to much away yet as I'm still working out the details but I hope readers will like it. Thanks again! - Alex

I heard that you were working on a middle-grade fantasy novel. When will that be released?
Alex Lyttle Hey Jacob! I'm working on several novels at this time... like the diligent ADHD sufferer that I am. The middle grade novel is a trilogy and I've finished a first draft of book 1. It will likely be a year or two before I get all the kinks worked out. I'm also working on another contemporary middle grade/YA novel (similar to my book F.A.T.E.) that I hope to have a first draft finished by the end of this summer. It has a medical theme and draws again from my experiences working as a pediatrician. Which book will be ready first, I'm not sure, but I hope to have one ready sometime in 2018.

Hi Alex, I am wondering if you would consider making an Author visit to a school in Calgary? I am a Learning Commons Librarian at a K-9 School in the NW.
Alex Lyttle Of course! I have yet to do any school visits but I have my first scheduled in a few weeks. Assuming I don't get booed out of the class and am still emotionally intact, I'd love to do more. While technically a "middle grade" book, given the content, I think the best grade level would be 5+ (ages 10+) however I'm open to talking to anyone. You can email me at: author@alexlyttle.com
