Linda Keen Wanting to write is an itch needing to be scratched ~ an idea needing to be probed ~ an adventure needing to be explored ~ a dream needing to be owned ~ a promise needing to be kept ~ a spark of ecstasy needing to be shared
Linda Keen The opportunity to live in a world of one's own making. Where there are no limitations except what one creates oneself. Through imagination, a writer can bring more meaning, joy, and healing into one's own life and thereby become empowered to carry it, hopefully, into the lives of others.

Linda Keen First, I'll know I'm pushing myself, that I need to relax and have a good laugh. I'll go outside into the garden, take some deep breaths, and say hello to the puffy clouds in the blue sky, to the birds and bees and the roses and morning glories. And if it's cold or windy outside, I'll say hello to that and the changes of the seasons. I'll be grateful for what is around me and that I'm lucky enough to live in these peaceful surroundings. Then maybe I'll take a walk, do yoga or go to the gym, because when I have writer's block, I know I'm living too much in my head and not enough in my heart where my writing needs to nest, hatch, and eventually fly forth.
