Raul F. O. It depends on what kind of blockage I face. If it is something regarding the dialogue or transition than I think about different ways of approaching the subject so that it can transition smoothly. If it's something regarding the story or the style than I take a few days usually and try to put different spins on it. Until I find one that really fits with the tone that I want the story to have. or the messages the story ought to have for the reader.
Raul F. O. Creating worlds. Going into territory unknown to you as a writer and to those that will read your book. And it is a lot of fun doing that and putting yourself out there for everyone to criticize, read or praise your work.
Raul F. O. Just start writing, there are so many books, so many writers. And many of them are just really bad. So you don't really have to worry about being the worst. With time you will get better, that's what I hope I will do too, get better. And if you don't know how to publish your book, there are now more way than ever to do get your book published. Raul F. O. A second book and graduating college.
Raul F. O. I think a lot about hypotheticals and how can I change that? Or what would it look like if you were to think about it from these perspectives. Then I usually go on an create a full story behind it all. Trying to put myself in that exact situation and create a very personal story.
Raul F. O. I got the idea for Trapped: Autumn when I was in my first year in college, while walking to a course I had the idea of putting a mythological spin on a broken relationship. To put the protagonist to look at himself to criticize his own character. To show his hypocrisy and shine some light on our image of what we are worth. Also to break down what we think a relationship is or comment on literature seemed really fun.
