The beginnings of it came from a dream, which is odd as I don't usually even remember my dreams. A lot of the plot came to me from listening to a Breaking Benjamin song call "Without You". Read the book then listen to the song. You'll get it.

I imagine my characters and put them into situations and see if it works. Sometimes it does sometimes not.

Just write. Whether you think it's good or not. But start writing and don't put it off for twenty years like I did.
