Shanier Souffrant I go back and read my journals. Those times when I'm at the highest state of emotion bring me back to what I have to say in a story. Or, I go back and read what I've already written. This usually helps me get along.
Shanier Souffrant All of the voices in your head get an outlet. What they have to say don't have to remain stuck in your head, hence making you crazy. At least that's my truth.
Shanier Souffrant Keep going, even when it seems like you're at a dead in with your creativity. Don't take those late night thoughts for granted or commit them to memory. If the thoughts come, write them down in a journal, use stickey notes, or whatever you can get your hands on. The story eventually comes together.

After completing the script, I wasn't satisfied. I felt there was so much more to each of their stories, so I tried my hand at writing this novel.
