Hasrizal Abdul Jamil Wa alaikum al-Salam wbt. Terima kasih atas kesudian memanfaatkan penulisan saya. Moga kebaikannya dapat kita manfaatkan bersama. Buku Menalar Makna Diri sudah lama tidak diterbitkan oleh penerbitnya. Saya baru sahaja berjaya mendapatkan hak ciptanya. Insya-Allah ia akan diterbitkan semula, mungkin dengan tajuk baharu, dalam sedikit masa lagi.

Well to begin with, I would like to say thanks for writing a lot of inspiring books, particularly Di Hamparan Shamrock Ku Seru Namamu and Secangkir Teh Pengubat Letih. I read the former back in my school days and that really inspired me to achieve my dream of studying overseas. Now, I am preparing to fly to Australia and I would like to know what are the tips to survive living overseas and carry my duties as a muslim?

Can you tell us a two-sentence horror story?

Hasrizal Abdul Jamil The bomoh asked everyone to leave Atuk's house and went straight to the bottom of the stairs, digging something under it. When my dad pointed him with a torchlight, the bomoh appeared having a pig head digging a hole with a pair of tusks.

Hasrizal Abdul Jamil Mainly journals for my thesis literature review. Plus some sidelines: Wael b Hallaq's The Impossible State and Ira Shore's Empowering Education.

How do you keep your motivation high when doing something like perhaps, writing a book? It is a long and tedious process, so how do you maintain your positivity throughout your writing?

Hasrizal Abdul Jamil So far, I wrote because I have something to write and it is only in a size of a blog entry. My consistency is not on the writing part, but on the thinking, observing, and finding answers to questions I had in my mind. That forced me to write from one day to another. Having a strong motivation on writing but not on the content to write, it doesn't work for me. I'm still learning. Thank you for your question 😊

what do you prefer, giving a speech or write a book?

Hasrizal Abdul Jamil I prefer writing, both books and blog entries, because I easily make mistakes when giving speech, but I have better control when writing. I regret more after talking, than after writing something.
