I got the idea for my first book when I returned from China where I taught English for one year.
In my opinion, the culture is very intriguing and when I returned to Canada, I experienced a very heavy feeling because I was "pregnant" with a book inside me. It had to come out!

My advise for aspiring writers is to enroll in a program on how to write a book for every successful person follows a system. Also include a personal book architect as part of your writing process.
Do not procrastinate and write your book for it can save someones life, it can teach some one a new skill, it could prevent someone from committing suicide, it could make some one change their mindset from a very negative one to a positive one; it could teach someone about a different culture....

The best thing about being a writer is that people start to look at you in a different light. You are branding yourself by being a writer and many different opportunities start to appear such as media contacts.

Fortunately for me I did not suffer from writers block because I wrote one chapter a day. As I sat in the train ideas came to me, I jotted them done on a note pad and when I got home I typed them out. My first book was easy to write because it was my personal journey which was very vivid and left an indelible imprint on my memory
