Mainly a few history books that I started, but never finished. I'm finding that writing is taking a back seat to writing though so these might get nudged aside.

I'd love to think that there is some mystery in my life, but I'm fairly sure there isn't which is why my books tend to deal with mundane and the extraordinary. I do like the little idiosyncrasies of life that to some could have the edge of being mysterious though.

I would say Nick and Nora Charles from The Thin Man (though I haven't read it for a while).

I tend to start something new which is probably the absolute worst thing to ever do because you never finish anything. I now go for a walk or let day-to-day work rekindle my passion.

Just the notion that perhaps my idea hasn't been done a certain way that I'd like to see. There aren't any original stories, but there are ways of telling them. I've certainly been inspired by cinema too.

Perhaps a sequel to Basically Frightened if it's wanted. I'm writing a novella which is a bit sci-fi and I am planning a comic thriller.

Finish something, no matter how painful. I find that the biggest achievement is actually concluding that good idea I had which gradually becomes a 'oh, this is a rubbish idea actually' if I'm not careful.

Not sure I qualify to answer this. I suppose I write, but it's not a full time pursuit much as I would like it to be. It is nice pretending I'm an 'artiste' I suppose.

There seems to be so much Post-Apocalyptic fiction around at the moment whether it be on television, cinema or in print. Yet I found that a fascinating subject always gets the Big Guns, Sweaty Men, Pouting Women kind of treatment - there's also a love of seeing people or zombies shot in the face in the most sensual way, as if we should all high-five when it happens. Yet quite a few people are ordinary, are not comfortable with violence and bazookas and just want to get through the next day - why not tell their story?
