I would travel back in history to France and meet Napoleon III. I am intrigued by how he was able to establish his royal court during an age of revolution with help from his aunt Stéphanie de Beauharnais. I would like to visit the Tuileries Palace in Paris before it was destroyed.

I am re-reading my books An Immigrant American, A Trace of Royalty and The Journey to Delphos and doing research for upcoming fourth book. I am excited to continue the story of Karolina and Stanislaus as they settle into their new home in Ohio while their friends in the Royal Courts of France and Scotland experience their own adventures! I have had quite a few mysteries in my life and continue to encounter them as I write. There would be too many to mention but I am continuing to write historical fiction and try to understand the impact of historical figures have had on our own destiny. These events and figures continue to be great plot ideas for future books. Enjoy reading!

My favorite couple are the two characters in my latest book, Anna and her husband, recently immigrated to America. Anna is a strong woman trying to rise up in New York high society while helping her husband build his law practice at the expense of having any children. Anna doesn't take "No" for an answer and her husband takes advantage of opportunity when he sees it. They work together to achieve their goals.

My son was married this past summer and I wondered what his ancestors also experienced during this important time in their lives and my research indicated a nobility bent to our history.
