SMALL TALK WITH MYSELF unofficially started around my birthday in late March 2020. It was shortly after shelter-in-place started in the San Francisco Bay Area. I kept writing down little accounts of my lockdown life for posterity and processing, and well, really to fight off boredom. Days seemed nameless, and at times there were way too many Mondays in a row. The year 2020 seemed to be at least one dog year for some of us, maybe more.
