Tabetha Waite In a small town in northern Missouri called Higbee! You’ll probably have to look that one up. 😉
Tabetha Waite Hi! If you click on my name it should give you the option to "Follow" or "Add as a Friend." But to make it easier for you, I just sent you a request! xo
Tabetha Waite This doesn't sound like it would fit into the category of a love story. It's a survival plot set in the future, so in that case, I would say little to no romance, unless you are going to write a flashback scene where the mercenary was married. Even then, for it to be a romance novel, it would need to have a HEA.
Tabetha Waite I would have to say the shy wallflower, or the woman who has fallen on hard times, but is strong and determined enough to survive on her own. Of course, I'm not immune to a handsome hero!

Tabetha Waite Hi, Judi! My books are not completely sweet and clean, no. There are some descriptive love scenes, but it doesn’t take away from the overall story. ❤️
Tabetha Waite They were coming for her. No one ever escaped one of these demons...
Tabetha Waite Definitely Regency England! I would sneak into a masquerade ball and dance the night away!
Tabetha Waite Just about any historical romance I can get my hands on really! I have a huge TBR pile that I'll be working on. A little bit of every author! Lol. Of course, I'll still be busy writing too!
Tabetha Waite That's a good one! Without going into a lot of detail - my paternity has been taken into question, so that could definitely be the main course of a novel!
Tabetha Waite Actually, that is where my life experience inspiration came into play. The very first line in "Why the Earl is After the Girl" is from my heroine, Athena Hawthorne, who exclaims, "What do you mean it's all...gone?" While she is learning that her inheritance is missing, that was the same disbelief I felt when my old laptop crashed and I lost all the WIPs I had been working on, which was a lot! Unfortunately, I didn't have a backup, so it actually taught me a lesson to save everything on an external device before I turn my system off.
Tabetha Waite Believe it or not, I can get inspired for a story from a word in a conversation, the look of someone in a crowded room, or my own experiences. I've even got up in the middle of the night with a random thought that I had to write down.
Tabetha Waite I am currently working on the second book in my Ways of Love series, "Where the Viscount Found Love."
Tabetha Waite Don't give up!!! Honestly, that is it. I tried for 30 years to get published with over 60 rejections and two fails before I succeeded. It's a tough market with lots of competition and talent, but if you have confidence in yourself and the drive to improve, you can do it!
Tabetha Waite My dream has always been to see my name in print. Even though it's started out digitally, I know this is our day and age. I have hopes that it will be printed eventually, but it's still a rather surreal feeling to know I made it this far.
Tabetha Waite Sometimes I just have to step back from my current WIP to gain a new perspective. Looking at it too long will make my brain skip like a broken record, but giving it a day or two to let the story "marinate", and the dreaded block usually passes.
