Don't rush your editing. If you are self publishing, send it to lots of friends to read and proof it for you, or hire a proof reader. You'll be amazed at the amount of mistakes you'll miss when you try to proof read the manuscript yourself. I made this mistake and had to edit the published copy many times, because I was so excited for people to read my creation!
