At least three dreams or visions I had following open heart surgery and a quadrupple by-pass in 2014 moved me in most profound ways. Yes, the contents of these events are shrouded in a good deal of mystery which will be part of a new book I have been developing for sometime. (It will be my next project just beyond the present faith-based, historical novel I am writing.)

My advise for aspiring writers is keep writing, and write about a subject that you are passionate. Don't be deterred from your goal. There's nothing like the high you will feel when you receive that first copy of your published book.

I am inspired to write when I am passionately interested in the subject matter. That together with a lot of meditation and the decision to commit a significant amount of time, which is usually a year or two from beginning to completion of the book.

A RETURN TO MEADOW WOOD was initially inspired by my personal experiences as a medical specialist in Southeast Asia in the 1960s. This was coupled with exhaustive research over many years, which included many interviews with my fellow veterans. They graciously let me include some of their experiences in the writing of this book.
