Just start writing. For many years I struggled to put together a publishable book. That challenge was too great for me. When I fully came to realize is I want to tell a story, not write a book was when the words started flowing. I also learned to make it a routine, part of your daily life. You may be surprised how quickly it can happen.

I've just completed book two of my Catalyst Series. It is heading off to editing and I am now writing a short novella also related to the series.

I have not yet encountered this problem. My stories, characters and scenes seem to flow once I begin the writing process. I do occasionally have to step back particularly in very emotional scenes to make sure the feeling are genuine and coming across as authentic. To do that I try to immerse myself into the characters and in doing so the path forward is normally obvious.

World building, that to me is the essence of great storytelling. I enjoy the creative outlet of being a writer but to be the architect of all aspects in a narrative pushes you to expand what you feel comfortable with and thereby acquire new knowledge and experiences in the process.
